From the 5th until the 8th of may LifeTechLimburg, in collaboration with VKW Limburg, organizes a cluster visit to the Medtech and Healthcare topregion Medicon Valley.
Fifty Belgian participants, leaded by Minister Jo Vandeurzen en Minister Ingrid Lieten, will participate in this visit. The delegation includes representatives from medical technology and healthcare companies, healthcare organizations (major hospitals, home care orgnisations,…), academics and regional authorities.
Limburg has the ambition to develop a strong healthcare cluster as part of the strong Flemish life sciences cluster, and as part of the top technological cluster at the borders of Belgium-The Netherlands-Germany (Eindhoven, Leuven, Maastricht, Aachen, Liege, Hasselt). Therefore, it is important to develop strong international relationships and to learn from other regions how they became successful in developing strong healthcare clusters. This is why the cluster visit to Medicon Valley is organised.
Medicon Valley is one of the largest and fastest growing healthcare clusters in Europe. It includes biomedical and medical technology companies, universities, young start-ups, spin-off companies, hospitals and care centers. The cluster extends over Copenhagen (Denmark) and Skåne (Sweden). Both regions will be included in the visit. The visit includes:
- Visit of the Herlev Hospital, Copenhagen
- Visit of the elderly home Sønderhaven
- Visit of the Belgian Embassy in Copenhagen
- Company presentations: Maribo Medico, C4U Technologies, Madebydelta, Daintel,…
- Company visit at ArjoHuntleigh
- Visit of Medicon Village
