The Tele-Rehabsystem of Hasselt University and Jessa Hospital is the big winner of the second edition of the Agoria e-Health Awards. The Tele-Rehab device allows the clinical staf to monitor the health condition of chronic heart patients at a distance. While the patients are improving their physical condition at home to avoid relapse, they are being monitored via an online interactive application. Hasselt University and the Jessa Hospital also won the price for best Tele-Health and Tele-Care Project.
The IT company Icasa of CEO Rudi Bollen won the E-Health Award of Agoria for the modernization of healthcare with a focus on technological improvement. Icasa’s award winning product HospiView, developed for AZ Jan Portaels, enables patient to book an appointment by phone or online. Once they arrive in the hospital they are registered automatically when they log in at a kiosk. Armed with a personalized route description they can continue their way to the doctor. The Icasa-group is active in Health-Care since 2007. The company currently employs a hundred people.
